DO NOT GO HERE!
I had been going to Moda for 4 years. I had come to know the staff and owner and I was very comfortable. Then, September 2008, I had to leave unexpectedly to go out state as my father had fallen into a coma, a week later he passed away. I was in desperate need to get my hair done. I was going to see lots of family and friends at his funeral. I called Moda to get my hair formula so a local salon could do it while I was in another state. They REFUSED to give it to me. I was STUNNED! Even after I had told them my situation. The salon in my hometown was shocked! What type of people would not give out your hair formula especially in such a horrible situation.
These people are cold, mean and could care less about anyone but themselves!
DO NOT GO HERE!
My loyalty is with another close by Aveda salon who does care about you and will give out your formula anytime you want it!

The stylists here have always done a great job. The price is very reasonable. I used to go to a salon in Lincoln Park, and I like my cuts here better (by Angela), and for 2/3 the cost. The staff is very friendly, and sympathetic to a crazy schedule. Love this place!

ive been coming to angela for 3 years for highlites and cuts and ive never been disappointed. she does a great job! A couple of my friends also go to other stylists and we would never trust anyone else with our hair.

I have been going to moda for 13 years. I have been with ginger for most everything, but every stylist there has done my hair, updos hilights color cuts make-up manicures and pedicures,I have never left less than 100% happy. great prices very friendly exelent services

Terrible experience, destroyed my hair

My friend and I decided to get peek-a-boo highlights here for a cheaper price than the usual salon we go to. We went in and were told the price would start at $50 and at the most be $70, if we needed toner. I went in requesting eggplant, an almost purple color, highlights, even picking out the color I desired right in front of the stylist, Angela. Well after melting bleach on my head and burning my face, they applied the toner three times! I was sitting there for four long hours. The color never took and my hair was not only completely damaged but a sickly burnt orange color. My hair feel out in clumps and I didn't leave the house without a hat for days. I want a refund for the overpriced dye job (which was $115 dollars, not 50-70 as promised!) Yet when I repeatedly call and go into the salon I am ignored by the owner. DO NOT GO HERE! They not only ruined my hair but have yet to correct their error!

For a good haircut and color at a good price go to Moda Salon. Jaclyn cuts and highlights my hair there and I have always been very happy with the results. I received more compliments from friends and coworkers on the highlights she gave me than on the highlights I had done at the much more expensive Charles Ifergan Salon downtown. My cut and foil highlights cost around $70. The highlights alone at Charles Ifergan cost $75. I can tell that the fancier salons downtown give a little better cut but for a very good quality cut at a much better price, I go to Moda.

PROS: good qualtiy cut at a good price, great highlights at a good price
CONS:
